Social Media is no longer what it used to be...

 I truly miss the way social media used to be. I just feel it's not fun anymore, I don't know if it's because I am getting older or things are slowing down on social media. TikTok is my go to social media app, I rarely use Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat. I never use Twitter or X now. 

Social media was so fun, posting on each others timelines, accidently liking someone's post from weeks ago, funny videos that were five seconds and of course the fun challenges that people created. Now it's just about people with many likes, brands trying to get a following or their name out there to people. 

There was a shift with social media, it went from silly posts to everyone finding the best social media accounts. Its a complex system that will forever be changed. The increase of technology advances also play a huge role in this social media world. New apps are being created and people choose to check out the new and possibly get rid of the old. 

User privacy is also something to mention with social media. People that I know are getting hacked more frequently. This is because social media apps are much easier to get into, the privacy settings have changed and we are not aware of these changes as social users. 

So in the end, I miss the way social media used to be. Let's bring back Vine and the fun days of acting funny or creating stupid challenges and tagging our friends!!

  The Anonymous Member on the social media app, Facebook, has become a new feature that many like but others do not. With this feature, members of Facebook can comment or post into a group anything under 'anonymous member'. Is this privacy setting too much or is it a good thing. One thing to remember is to never believe everything you read on the internet. What is a puzzle in itself is whether or not that person with a cute profile is actually the real person.
